I decided to kill some time tonight by perusing the U of M website, which brought me eventually to the class schedule. Curious to see if Professor McCormick was teaching a film class this semester, I brought the list of German classes, and what should I find? German 1601: Fleeing Hitler: German and Austrian Filmmakers Between Europe and Hollywood. Yes, we're talking an entire class about the likes of Billy Wilder, Fritz Lang, Detlef Sierck, and Max Ophuls. He makes no mention of Ernst Lubitsch in the class description, but I hope he included him also. Anyway, arrrrgh! Why, Rick, why? Why did you have to wait until I'm 300 miles away and left taking classes at UW-Zero to teach this class?

Anyway, the new 'U' website looks nice.
