It's been a few days, but that doesn't matter because my FTP was down and I couldn't really update anyway. Tonight is finally my last night of reffing (yeah!!!). The money is nice, but I'm just really getting sick of it for this summer. Another thing I'm sick of is my brother filling up the hard drive on the family computer with crap. Sure, I hardly ever use it because I usually use my own, but that doesn't mean that I don't have to listen to both my parents bitch about how there is no memory on the computer. Fuck Napster and fuck mp3s. If you like a band, buy their album and support them, don't rip them off. Tony is off to Peru. Two and a half weeks. Going out to Minneapolis on Tuesday to try to find a place to live. "Try" is the operative word there, seeing as the housing situation out there is as tight as it is. Well, I need to take advantage of the little time online I have before my brother decides he needs to sit at the computer all day long chatting with people on the other side of town and filling the hard drive up with mp3s.

I'm hoping this will work this time. I keep getting FTP errors. I've been trying to post for almost a week now with no luck. Reffed 12 games this weekend and was sick and tired of reffing by the end. We ended up taking 2nd place in our bowling league, but we had fun anyway. Had to ref a game tonight and it turned a little ugly. 2 red cards, 2 yellow cards, Kaukauna won 4-0 and Howard pulled their team from the field 6:30 minutes early. Well, I did what I could. Matt and Carrie are busy tonight and it's a little late to call anyone else. Guess I'll stay home tonight. Too bad because I was looking forward to staying up/out late since I didn't work at all tomorrow. C'est la vie.

Getting ready to hit the sack. Helped Matt and Carrie and Matt Harvey move. Got a lot of the large items and important items moved. Can't help much more this weekend because of reffing the soccer tournament. First game tomorrow is at 11 am. Saw Ian for the first time in about 3 years today. He drove home from South Carolina for about a week and a half and he came over to Matt and Carrie's new place tonight. Okay, time for beddy bed....

Matt and Carrie should be calling soon. One of my favorite movies, Bringing Up Baby, is on TCM right now. Still looks like it's going to rain. Current mood and style are a little to weird to explain....

Believe it or not, I'm actually kind of bored today. Got up this morning and surfed around for a bit. I got dressed and ate lunch before driving around. I drove past the complex to see how everything was coming along for the tournament this weekend. Of course, The Weather Channel said we wouldn't have any rain this weekend, but they forgot that Matt and Carrie are moving and also about the tournament, so of course it has to rain. I picked up my pay check from work and then deposited it in my account right away. Now I'm back home and wasting more time. Maybe I'll read or something. The new Express station is open as of this morning at 6am, so the infamous Big Green Convenience Store from the Doofus song of the same name is now no more.

Computer problems the last two days have kept me offline. Instead I went to... *gasp*... the mall. Yes, I know, I know... but I had a gift certificate. So, I walked in feeling completely out of my element, but a few minutes in Suncoast and I wanted to buy half the store. I ended up getting M and Reality Bites. I also picked up The Sims on sale at Best Buy. I finished reading "The Importance of Being Earnest" and started Doris Dörrie's Love, Pain And The Whole Damn Thing. I decided to read that before anything else because I figured it'd be harder to find later. Matt and Carrie officially buy the house today and then we're starting moving them in. I don't really like the idea of my brother driving my car, but I need the truck to help them move. I should have gone to bed hours ago when I first came home, but once again I didn't. Maybe I'll go now. I think I get paid today also.

Wow, I don't remember the last time I went this long without being online. Craaaaaazy. Well, I worked this weekend and watched some movies and we bowled. I bowled a 214 the last game on Sunday (my new personal high by 1 pin). I watched The Whole Nine Yards, The Ninth Gate, Diamonds, and Modern Times in addition to parts of about 8 other movies. I sat up until 3:45 this morning finishing reading Anna Karenina. It's easily my favorite book! It seems so weird to be done with it though because I've been working on it since last Halloween. I started reading Oscar Wilde's play "The Importance of Being Earnest" this morning and I have the first act finished. Tony and Kelly were in town for the weekend, but I didn't seem them all that much. Last night we went to Frank's and later went to Perkins. We ran into Corey there and I hadn't seen that bastard more than once before all summer. I basically quit my job already. Since I pretty much only work weekend, and I took off the next two weekends, I am not even on the schedule anymore. Next weekend could be a long weekend with helping Matt and Carrie move and the soccer tournament. We'll see what happens.

I had to work yesterday. It sucked just as much as I thought it would. I had ref. That also sucked just as much as I thought it would. We bowled. I sucked. I went to GW and grabbed a bite to eat. I came home and slept. I woke up, ate lunch, and watched Rushmore. It wasn't as good as Nate made it out to be, but it certainly wasn't bad by any means. I have to ref yet tonight. I don't want to, but the money is good. I hate my job at the video store, but I need the money. I'm quitting 2 weeks from tomorrow, and that's it. Blah.

Reffing tonight went okay. Returned my movies to work and then went over to Matt and Carrie's. We watched American Pie again. On the way home I drove past GW again, but still no sign of Trixie. I wonder where that girl is? I guess I haven't called her, but still makes me curious because I haven't seen her in so long. I don't feel like working tomorrow. Makes it even worse now that I heard that Bill (regional manager for Wisconsin) will be there tomorrow. Oh sure he's a nice guy, but bosses always make me nervous anyway (even if I do everything right, it seems like they can always find something I do wrong). Krbuppleostromy....

Mowed the lawn today and proof-read my brother's letter to his German host family. I watched Hurricane Streets and Me and Him today also. Oh yeah, not to mention Jeopardy. I have to go reffing tonight... atleast it's only one game... and I could use the money. Hurricane Streets, while certainly not a great film, it was certainly much better than Morgan J. Freeman's second film Desert Blue. Me and Him was about as good as you'd expect an 80's film by a German director about a man and his talking penis to be. I'm getting fat again.

Well, I had one hell of a weekend this weekend. Saturday I worked from 2-10 and then rushed over to the Regal, where we watched Scary Movie. I got there just as the previews were starting. Not great, but pretty funny. Afterward we went to George Webb because I was really hungry. We went back to Matt and Carrie's and waited for Ben to come over. He finally got there at about 2:25 and we hurried downtown. Using Ben's camera, we interviewed a number of different drunks. It was nothing short of hillarious. We went back to Matt and Carrie's and watched Rock and Roll High School before I headed home.

Sunday I slept until noon and finally left my bed over a half hour later when a friend of my brother's stopped by looking for him. After eating lunch and watching part of the Wimbledon men's final, I went back over to Matt and Carrie's, where we worked on the script for the next Funky Trunk movie. Ben finally came over, we all ate dinner, and then we went to bowling. It was damn hot, but we did okay, winning 2 out of 3 (and as Meatloaf would say, "two out of three ain't bad."). I had a 122 and 123 the first two games and i couldn't pick up spares. The third game I bowled nothing but spares (well, except for 1 or 2 strikes) and finished with a 175. We returned to Matt and Carrie's, where we celebrated by downing a case of Bud Light. I finally went home at 3:30.

I woke up this morning a little after 10 and my dad invited me to lunch with he and my mom. We went to Culver's and then my dad and I returned home. We just finished watching The Hurricane. I have little more to say about the film at this moment except that it it more proof that the Academy obviously doesn't know the first thing about acting, directing, cinematography, etc. I have long supported the idea that Jim Carrey was snubbed from receiving the Best Actor Award. Well, I now support Denzel Washington. I've long been a fan of Mr. Washington's, and after seeing this film, I believe the Academy did him a gross injustice (much like his character in the film) by awarding the Best Actor Award to Kevin Spacey. I have nothing personal against Mr. Spacey, it's just that any person with half a brain could see that his performance pales in comparison to that of Mr. Washington in The Hurricane and Mr. Carrey in Man On The Moon. I'll leave it at that. It's time for Jeopardy.

Work wasn't so bad yesterday. In fact, I was in a pretty good mood, so time went by quickly also. We didn't get to go to the movie last night because all the theatres were sold out, so we're going to go tonight right I get out of work. It's nice having the house to myself. Of course, it's raining again. That's all it has done all weekend. Damn it. Love Parade is today. Can't believe it's been a year already. Man, do I wish I was there!!! Atleast it's only Saturday. Have to work yet today. Arrrrrrrrrrrgh!!! Maybe I need some Hot n Now for lunch....

Another short night of sleep. It wasn't all that short, but it would be nice to be able to get 8 hours of sleep sometime. I just seem to have my body programmed too well to wake up early. Tonight I definitely won't get 8 hours of sleep because I have to be to a stupid store meeting at 8 am tomorrow. The last fucking one!! Woohoo!!!

It's almost time to clean up and hit the sack. I need sleep now that the caffeine is starting to wear off. I had something that I wanted to mention, but I completely forgot what it was now. I guess that means that it probably wasn't all that important after all. Damn jailbait anyway.

Just got home from Perkins, where Matt and Carrie and I hung out for about 2 hours and I drank WAY too much coffee. As per usual, I return home to find Oreo waiting for me. Time to waste some time and hit the sack. The family is leaving me for the weekend because my brother has a soccer tournament down in Rockford this weekend. Woohoo!!!

After arising early this morning and working on cleaning the house because relatives are coming over for my mom's birthday, I've been watching movies ever since. I can't help it! In celebration of the lovely Janet Leigh's 73rd birthday, TCM is showing her movies all afternoon. Oooo... time to hurry back....

Busy night at work signing up new members and renting out movies. By the time I finished vacuuming, I got out almost 20 minutes late. Went to Matt and Carrie's and Ben was there also and we all discussed the pending Funky Trunk porno project. Then I went to GW, where I grabbed a burger and wrote a letter to Claudia and added to my journal. Today is mom's birthday. Atleast this year I'm around (I missed 2 of the last 3).

We watched Better Off Dead tonight. Just can't beat John Cusack movies, can you? I was going to stop by GW afterward and see if Trixie was working, but they were closed too. What's the deal with everyone being closed today? I don't think I've ever worked at a place that was closed on July 4. What the hell?!
