I ended up going to Matt and Carrie's and Matt Harvey was over. We dropped him and off and saw his and John's apartment. Then, Matt, Carrie, and I went bowling and I didn't have such a bad night, rolling games of 151, 184, 171, and 159. We went back to their place and played 2 games of Scrabble, the first of which I barely lost and the second one I won. We played a little Tony Hawk, but they were tired, so they went to bed and I left. I stopped in at GW and Trixie was there with Nick, so I sat with them, we ate, and talked for a while. I just got home from there about 5 minutes ago. It was a pretty good night, and to think tomorrow (well, technically tonight now) is New Year's. It's going to be great. Now I need to do some research for Trixie about a boy....

W. is taking a rest for New Year's, so I shall also. I watched Network this afternoon, and I'm recording The Wild Bunch and The Sting tonight. Right now I'm waiting for Matt and Carrie to get home from dinner and call me. Jonathan finally got back to me about spring break. I haven't checked yet, but I hope tickets haven't been all bought up already. I'll have to transfer some money first before I'll have enough. And tomorrow - New Year's Eve.

It's nice to know that W. isn't even in office yet and he's already going back on promises. Perhaps I'm being a bit quick to judge, but he did say that he was going to include democrats in his cabinet to reflect the deep bipartisanship of the country and also in respect of the fact that he only won the election because this country is a republic and not a democracy. Well, with three cabinet slots left to fill, he is yet to name a democrat to his cabinet. Go ahead W., keep feeding me fuel for the fire.

Well, I don't have to worry about missing the Liverpool game after all - it has been called off because of the snow storm that hit England.

I just got home from Matt and Carrie's a little bit ago. We went first tonight to Carrie's mom's house for Steve's birthday. After that, we went back to Matt and Carrie's place and Carrie and I started watching Princess Mononoke while Matt went over to Mike and Mandy's. I guess he got bored there pretty quickly, because it wasn't long and he was back home. We finished watching the movie, they went to bed, and I came home. I didn't actually come straight home. I actually drove around and debated stoping at GW because I'm hungry, but the booths were all full, so I decided to bite the bullet and come home. I figure that if I just sleep, I'll forget that I'm hungry. I hope that works. I was quite happy to finally see the snow removal equipment out in force tonight on my way home. There was a whole line of trucks coming down Wisconsin Avenue as I headed home. Maybe one day they'll get to our lowly little street. One can only hope. Liverpool plays Bradford in a few hours, but I'm too tired to stay up and listen to the game. I hate this coming home thing - it makes me into a wuss and I lose all of my nocturnal instincts.

Last night I went over to Matt and Carrie's and we watched some tv. Then Carrie and I went to Sabre and bowled 5 games, although I don't know if you'd call what I was doing "bowling." I bowled games of 79, 121, 156, 178, and 163. Some of those scores are really deceiving also, like the 178, where I had a 107 in the 5th and it all went downhill from there. I came home afterward, but was too tired to do much, so I went to bed about 1. I got up this morning, showered, and began watching tv again. I watched High Fidelity this afternoon and I'm planning on taping The African Queen tonight. I also got to go outside and spend better than an hour shoveling after last night's snowfall. Right about now I'm curious where our extremely high taxes are going, since they obviously aren't going toward snow removal. I've been a week. In that time, we've gotten perhaps 10 inches or more of snow, and yet I still have not seen a single snow plow anywhere in the city. Not even one! So, what's the deal Appleton? I'm actually rather amused by reading the Post-Crescent each day and the letters are all complaints about Bush getting elected. Worst of all, none of the letters are even borderlining on being intelligent and well written letters. Oh well, it's fun to make fun of other peoples' stupidity.

I ended up falling asleep last night while watching Murder on the Orient Express. I woke up this morning and my movie-watching spree continued with Yankee Doodle Dandy. I also watched the beginning of Guess Who Is Coming To Dinner and I went to Blockbuster, where I picked up High Fidelity, Lawrence of Arabia, Network, and The Manchurian Candidate. Cabaret is on tonight also. Just too many good movies on in such a short period of time....

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me... not a whole lot. I mostly sat around doing nothing today. I got up early and was online for about 2 and a half hours. Then I watched a little tv to start and moved onto watching The Hustler and Canadian Bacon. After dinner, I watched a little more tv and went to the bowling alley. I watched Carrie's women's team bowl their third game and about the time they finished, Matt showed up. They hadn't eaten dinner yet, so the three of us went to Perkins. I wasn't hungry, since I had already eaten three meals today, so I just had coffee and water. We were there until a little after 10. As we were leaving, Squishy came in with some people. Hadn't seen that motherfucker in a while. Come to find out that he's living in Stevens Point now and working at the Fazoli's there. I mentioned to him about trivia and sounds like it might be a little hard for him to come, but he might try to stop by one night. I came home and Oreo was waiting for me as usual. She followed me in my room and I alternated between petting her and fiddling with the Tijuana Special. Now I'm online (obviously). I was checking my email, but was disappointed to find that I hadn't heard back from Jonathan yet. We really need to get our plane tickets booked if we're going to go to Europe over spring break. I'm leaning toward 2-3 days in Reykjavik and then 4-5 days in London (or England in general) right now, but I'm still waiting to here his opinion. That's about it for today. More good movies on tomorrow.

It was snowing earlier, but luckily it has stopped since, because I really don't feel like going outside and shoveling. Mom and Mike got home a little while ago from the hospital, but Mom went back out again for medicine. I made up my schedule of good movies being shown over the next 12 days or so before I head back to Minneapolis. I don't know where I'm going to find the time to watch most of them.

Another one bites the dust... I just finally heard the news that Jason Robards died yesterday. I don't know if it's just because there have been so many great actors and actresses or if so many of the greats really have been dying lately, but it just seems they've been dropping like flies the last few years.

In other news, I'm trying like mad to access the Iceland Air website so I can confirm the cheap airline prices they're offering right now. I want to find out if I really can afford to go to Europe over spring break or not! Grrr... the site is currently unavailable.

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me... two weird dreams. I'll get to those in a minute.

Okay, to start off, my parents got me up early Christmas morning and we ate breakfast and opened presents. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by all of my gifts. The biggest one's were a new stereo (I've been using the same one that I bought at a garage sale for $10 from my former neighbor/alderman/guidance counsellor for the past few years) and Lego's. We hopped in the family van and spent the day at my Grandma's, where, as usual, I ate way too much food. We came home that night and I went over to Matt and Carrie's. Mike and Mandy were over and they were playing Simpsons Clue. After that, we watched Gladiator. Well, they watched it - I fell asleep. It's a good flick, but I was rather tired. I woke up at the end of the movie, but fell back asleep before I got a chance to leave. That was when I had the first dream. I went home about 2 and went straight to bed. That was when I had the second dream. I woke up this morning before 9 because I heard my dad watching A Perfect World. I spent the better part of the day watching tv, building Lego's, and setting up my stereo. After my mom came home, we went out to eat at Ponderosa. I came home, watched a little more tv, and went over to Matt and Carrie's. Carrie and I decided to go out for coffee at GW and Matt joined us after he finished bowling. While we were sitting there, who should come in but NWO Man. He didn't recognize us. For those of you who aren't avid followers of my life, he's one of the guys from the Rock and Bowl incident over the summer when the 15 year old's thought they were going to kick our asses. We left there about 11:15 and I came home. Here I am. I haven't a clue as to what's on tap for tomorrow, but my brother goes in for surgery tomorrow morning and I guess he's planning to have his Rocky festival after he gets home. We'll just see how sedated he is.

As for the dreams, I'll try to recount them here as best possible. The first one I don't remember well, but involved Carrie and I. We were in college and decided to drop some class because the prof was really pissing both of us off. It was a class that must have been required for film studies majors, and since I didn't want to retake it, I decided to drop that major. I don't remember much else about that dream.

The second dream was longer and weirder. For this one, I was back in high school and we went to see a play downtown at some theatre that doesn't exist, but in the dream it was on Oneida Street just south of College Avenue. Matt was in the class also. I don't remember anything about the play, but the theatre was really run down and probably built some where around the beginning of the last century. After the play, the class was corraled to some non-existent card/stationary store sort of like a Hallmark store, which we weren't allowed to leave. Matt, who is quite good with electronics and things, had somehow devised a way to connect a TI-85 (or comparable Texas Instruments calculator) to a cell phone and go online, so he was checking his email. I was urgent to leave, as was everyone else, but our teacher wouldn't allow us to. Turns out, our teacher was Debra Jo Rupp, but her name was Elie or Elsie (something like that). As a teacher, she was very similar to her character Kitty from That 70's Show. Everyone was grabbing stationary and cards and writing "Elsie (or Elie) sucks!" on them and placing them back on the racks. I said that I was going to leave, and she replied, "I don't think so mister!" and laughed. I ran out and jumped in a car outside in a parking ramp. All of the car's were early cars like Model T's and such. I jumped in a Mercedes-Benz that some sort of really powerful motor or turbo booster or something that made it drive much faster than the other cars. People tried to chase after me in the cars, but they were too slow and I got away. I got out of the ramp and into the streets, but suddenly the streets were unfamiliar to me - definitely not Appleton. Maybe they were Berlin or something... I'm not sure. I found my way home and ordered a pizza for my brother and I. I was pissed about it arriving late and refused to pay. Then I went to the delivery guy's apartment, which was built around the 1920's and so was of a similar style to my own Minneapolis apartment, except much larger and run-down. He was somehow connected with the people who chased me leaving the card store and once I realized this, I locked myself in the bathroom, which was very similar to my own. I think that was about the point where I woke up. Do I have any idea of how to interpret that? Nope, not a clue.

Well, it's here - Merry Christmas everyone. There, I said it... now onto the sordid details of my so-called life....

Okay, so after I last posted yesterday, I went with the fam to eat lunch at Mary's. After we returned, I went and did my Christmas shopping finally. After I returned home, I wrapped up the presents and headed on over to Matt and Carrie's. We hung out for a bit and exchanged presents. They gave me quite the awesome conversation piece - a Mullets Galore calendar. Oh yeah. Matt Harvey came over and a little later Tony also. We all went bowling at Sabre, where we ran into Wendy, who I used to work with at Copp's, but haven't seen in some time and we also ran into Hurricane Hazen - with a mullet! From that point on, I could feel the power of a mulleted Hurrican Hazen flowing through my veins - it was great! Sure, I bowled like a jackass last night, but sometimes that can be quite fun also. After bowling, we returned to Matt and Carrie's and had a little party. I had already decided to stay the night, which was a good thing, because there was no way that I was going to be coming home. Sorry, no sordid details, but I can tell you that I still managed to win Simpson's Trivia. I woke up this morning, but I was a little slow moving. It was after 3 before I finally left to come home. After I got home, Mom and Dad ordered pizza and I sat around watching tv. I cleaned up and we went to church, where we got home from a little bit ago. Now I'm splitting my time before bed by chatting with my dad, watching tv, and updating you all here. Christmas day will be a long day because in addition to the regular trip to Grandma's, the full family get-together is taking place there tomorrow also. It'll probably be Tuesday before you hear from me again. Until that time, keep warm and safe.

Oops, forgot to mention about last night. So, the Blue Meanies show was at the Globe in Milwaukee. Our directions there were a little more confusing than necessary, but with the help of some cute girl working at the gas station, we got pointed in the right direction. Cozy little place the Globe is. We showed up right at the end of the Lawrence Arms set. There really weren't many people at the show and the few people there weren't being jackasses. I love that. The Blue Meanies were great as usual and they played lots of great songs. The only downfall was that the staff of the Globe were being jackasses about getting the underage crowd out so that they could get the bar crowd in. I mean, from my time with the Whole, I can testify that I know sometimes it's hard to get people to leave after the show, but you don't have to be a jackass about it. So, we got out of town and headed back to Appleton. I should mention that we ran into Molly there and she very graciously supplied me with earplugs - thanks! Okay, so we got to Appleton and met Tony at Frank's. When we finally left, Matt and Carrie dropped me off at home and I unpacked and went to bed. You have the rest of the story.

The way I understand it, my mom has had to do most of the shoveling herself, but since I'm home here for two weeks and not working, I guess I know what I'm going to be doing for the next two weeks. Please, make it stop! After I got home last night, it took the cats less than two minutes to cover everything I own in cat hair. Have to love cats. Well, I guess I should get moving on. I have to go Christmas shopping yet today and I don't want to waste away my whole day on that.

We just got up a little bit ago and I'm online while Matt and Carrie are trying out their wireless internet on their phones. I need to get packed up here soon because we want to leave town in about an hour. I was just thinking about the weather and I can't believe how cold it's been in the past month. I guess it might seem to make sense since we had such a cool summer. I still don't totally understand how all this weather stuff works, but the way I understand it, a cool summer means less heat in the atmosphere to carry over to winter. With as cold as it has been in the past month, it also makes me curious what January and February hold. With the way it's been lately, I wouldn't be surprised if people went out running around in shorts and a t-shirt if we hit the 20's. Well, I should get going. Bye bye people and I'll try to post whenever possible while I'm back in A-Town.

I'm about to go to bed here, I'm just printing out directions to the Globe for the Blue Meanies show tomorrow night. Matt and Carrie got here at just after 7 this evening and we went to the Mall of America so Carrie could get some stuff. It wasn't nearly as packed as expected, but perhaps the cold helped scare people away. We're going to Milwaukee tomorrow and then it's home to Appleton for two weeks of being a lazy bum. I love it! Well, finished printing, so it's time to hit the sack. Nighty night!

I still haven't started cleaning. I'm planning to start that very soon. I also need to eat yet. I was barely out of bed this morning and I got a phone call from Rachel. Still working on her paper - tsk tsk. Anyway, I went to campus, turned in my paper, returned Rick's videos, and went to the bookstore. I bought all of my books except one, and that one there was only one copy of, which leads me to believe that perhaps they're getting a new edition (the current one was 1994) and they haven't come in yet. I got back home, checked my email, and now it's time to clean/party (if that's possible). Still need to find a place yet for trivia. We're down to less than a month now.

Now I have to go turn my papers in, go to work, and my semester is over. I'd consider sitting in on the film tonight, but I'll probably fall asleep. After talking to a reliable source (thanks Rach!) I have it confirmed that my Oppositional Cinema paper isn't due until Thursday at noon. As a result, I'll turn it and my German cinema paper in tomorrow. That's a good thing, since I'm only on the second page of it right now. I think I know now where I want to go with it though, so it shouldn't take too long to write. The German paper could take some time though, because I'll have to put in a lot more film viewing time than I'll need to with the Kubrick films. Getting on it...

PLEASE SPIELBERG, SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!

So, I'm in the middle of working on my paper on Stanley Kubrick, when I notice IMDB has Kubrick listed as a writer for AI. Okay, sounds right - I knew Spielberg was making the film according to the specs Kubrick had made in his notes before death. So, I clicked on the link and started reading the credits when I notice a mistake that Stanley Kubrick would have never made - Spielberg cast Haley Joel Osment! I can't even begin to imagine what was going through Spielberg's fucked-up mind when that decision was made. Talk about an insult to Kubrick! I guess I'll have to see the film before I can effectively condemn it, but now that I have learned this little bit of information, I can say that it's going to be hard to avoid condemnation. I guess it's just one more example of Spielberg fucking something up. Ever since Lolita in 1962, Kubrick has avoided the typical Hollywood bull shit, and then Spielberg (the quintessential Hollywood director) goes and casts Osment (the current Hollywood fad/mistake). Well, there goes any good mood I might have been in... grrr....

After posting so many times on Sunday, I didn't post once yesterday. I have lots of work to do, and since I didn't do any of it on Sunday, I have lots to do now. I still have two long papers to turn in. Normally, I don't mind writing long papers, but when you're this close to the end of the semester, who can think about school work? Well, that's my dilemma right now. I've started one of them and I have the first page done so far, I just have to continue on from there now. A big Happy Birthday goes on out to Josh and Ben as both of them celebrate their 21st birthdays today. I doubt either one of them even knows I have a web page, let alone reads it, but nevertheless, happy birthday guys. The word on the street is that my paper that was supposed to be due today has been pushed back until Thursday, but I'll be turning it in with my other paper tomorrow. Since I don't have to freeze my ass off just to go turn one paper in today, that helps a lot. Well, I think it's time to go work on clearing out that fridge and then it's back to paper writing time.

Posts posts posts. Yes, I'm posting a lot today. This one is after having taken the eMode.com What Color Is Your Aura? test. Here's my result:

We don't need a psychic to tell us that you're giving off a Gold vibe. You couldn't ask for a better color — a glistening gold aura is as good as it gets. A lively blend of yellow and orange, gold people are happy, playful, energetic, sensitive, and generous. Always up for adventure, you'd give a friend in need the shirt off your back. You're spiritual, too — all those halos in old paintings aren't colored gold by coincidence. Almost childlike in the carefree, joyful way you live your life, you're popular and outgoing with your large circle of friends. Chances are you're so full of light and energy that you sometimes find it hard to sit still and chill out. Instead, you're constantly looking for excitement, no matter how risky or impulsive the occasion. Happy-go-lucky and always laughing, you truly are as good as gold.

Yeah, I know these things don't really say anything that you didn't already know about yourself, but I find them entertaining anyway. And speaking of entertaining - I still haven't turned the tv off and now figure skating is on. I'm not really into figure skating, but Scott Hamilton skated earlier and he was, as usual, quite entertaining. I'm just amazed at how when he skates, the skates aren't like an additional pair of footwear for him, but more like an extention of his legs - simply amazing. Okay, enough for now.

I waste... er... spend lots of time online reading other peoples' personal pages and I have to say there is something that really doesn't seem to surprise me. There are plenty of people who have taken the Keirsey personality test and many of them - much like myself - are eNFp's. When you read through the description of what comprises an eNFp, that's why it's really not that surprising.

Speaking of taking tests online - I took the What's Your Flavor? test at eMode.com and came up as Mocha. Here's the description it gave:

Mmm ... mocha! Strong and rich — but not too sweet — you're the flavor of late nights and early mornings. A coffeehouse regular, you've cornered the market on deep thoughts and probably have a little more than your fair share of brains. In fact, those who know you may even consider you an intellectual, a label that suits you just fine. Deep and thoughtful, you love the academic life — or at least the structured pursuit of knowledge. And, since hitting the books often means all-nighters, what better flavor than mocha to keep you company? Chocolaty and intense, you're a truly tasty treat.

Try out some of their tests yourself.

After hours of work, my links page is finally back online (no thanks to those bastards at Crosswinds). There are still a few links that need to be recovered, but most of them are restored. I also used the opportunity to slightly rearrange the order of the links on the page to adapt to my current needs. I started working on them after I got home from the Dinkytowner tonight, where I was until 12:45. I had met Molly and Eleonore there after leaving work at the film society. As previously stated, we showed Dancer in the Dark there tonight and we had a decent turn out. I watched most of the film again during the 7:15 show. As expected, there were mixed reviews. A lot of people seemed to dislike the film, but were glad that they had atleast seen it. After getting home, but before I got started on the links page, I ran into Trixie online and we chatted for a bit. I haven't talked to her since probably summer and it was weird to see her online, so it was quite the rare opportunity. The Liverpool v. Manchester United match at Old Trafford starts in less than an hour, so I might as well sit up and listen to it now. Go Liverpool!

I woke up about 1 yesterday afternoon and got started on my German lit paper sometime around 2. I finished that up about 5, but was having printer problems. It took me forever to get out of here yesterday and then I got about 2 blocks down and it occured to me that the stupid fucking Holidazzle parade was going on, so I had to weave my way through the crowd to walk down to 4th street and catch the bus. I printed out my paper in the office and then Annemarie and I walked over to the liquor store in Dinkytown. We caught the 6 to Molly's, where we ordered a pizza and watched The Big Lebowski. We had a bit of time to waste as we missed the bus, but then we walked on over and caught the bus at about 1:40. I didn't even know it was supposed to snow last night, and yet by the time we left Molly's, there was already a couple of inches on the ground. By the time I got home, it was after 2:15, and if I wasn't so tired, I would have gone out and played in the snow. Now I hear it's supposed to be cold and windy today, but I haven't been outside yet. I keep getting my days confused because Thursday felt like a true Friday (and not the NEW Friday like it is). Even so, I did remember that I have to work today. It'll be a long night because there are 3 movies tonight, and the third one doesn't start until 10. It's okay though, because we're showing Dancer in the Dark. Hopefully we'll get a good turn out tonight, but I'm not too worried, because we usually have a decent turn out on Saturday nights. I still have 1 test and 2 papers left before the semester is truly over. I can't wait! Instead of working on papers though, today I'm working on cleaning this place up. It's not too bad, but it still needs cleaning. The thing about cleaning is, it never seems as bad as it really is. What I mean by that is that before you start cleaning, you never think it'll take long, but then you get started and realize that your place was much dirtier than you thought it was. Well, maybe I should get started on it then.

It's another late night (or shall I say "early morning?") here at the lounge. I spent the better part of the day (after I woke up, of course) working on preparing for my German paper to be turned in on Friday. I watched some tv and ate dinner before catching the bus to campus a little after 8. I met Molly and Annemarie at the Grind and then we saw A Hard Day's Night at the Oak Street. It's no Spice World... hehe. Actually, it was quite entertaining, so if you happen to be in the Twin Cities area, I suggest you make a trip there while it's still showing. They have a beautiful new print and all. Well, afterward, Molly headed home because she has a final in the morning, but Annemarie and I went to the DT. We stayed there until 1:45. Kyle was there with some people from his Danish class and he missed the 12:45 bus, so he sat with us and rode the bus home with me. I've been home now for over an hour, but I'm not tired at all. A lot of that probably has to do with all the coffee we drank at the DT.

We've been getting more and more good ideas for the new Bijou mock-documentary/musical movie that we hope to film early next year and hopefully finish in time for our short film festival. It's too bad I don't have a camera here now, because right now we have the ideas and the ambition to work on it. I can just imagine us in a few weeks being too lazy again to get it done. It's not like we have a whole lot to do in our office hours the early part of next semester, so that'll give us plenty of free time to work on it.

Maybe I should get to work on my paper. I'm not sure exactly when it's due, but I'm guessing early afternoon. It's not a long paper, which means I could get a good start on it now and finish the rest when I get up. Although, maybe that won't work because then my thoughts might become disjointed in the paper. Whatever.

So much going on recently! Wednesday was the last day of classes for the semester, but I had leave my last one early to head off to work. I returned home to find out that W is going to be our next President. Okay, so I didn't get my way - it's not the end of the world. I mean, in the last 20 years alone we already endured 8 years of Reagan and 4 years of Papa Bush. In four years we can vote in a new President. Hopefully by then even the people dumb enough to vote for W will have realized the errors of their ways. Until that time comes, no matter what your opinion, and no matter if you're like me or not (you can't stand anyone dumber than rocks), you still have to respect that the bum will be our President and for the good of the country, I guess we need to support him. On a lighter note (in other words - far removed from politics), I'm pissed off because I'm going to have to wait until fucking April to find out what happened at the end of the "Felicity"! I mean, soap operas you get to find out tomorrow. Most shows - next week. "Felicity" on the other hand is going on hiatus until April because the WB is showing some other show in its place. Grrr.... Also, if you're able to read this, it means that I have all the problems (or most of them atleast) ironed out with my website. I finally decided I had put up with enough of Crosswinds' shit and decided to move. I guess you could say that I've moved into the new place, but I haven't really unpacked the boxes yet. This new host will afford me many more opportunities to improve this site than Crosswinds ever could have. I'll tell you all about them on the Info page as soon as I get a chance. I know I'm a day early, but tomorrow is Melissa's birthday, so Happy Birthday Melissa! There's much more to talk about, but I feel I've rambled on enough for now, so I'll end it here. Not like I shouldn't be spending this time folding my laundry instead of letting get it wrinkled anyway. "Hawaii Five-O" is on... Ciao!

I don't really have time to get into it now, but after all the problems I've had with Crosswinds in the past 6 months, I finally got fed up enough to go find a new host. As I said, I'll get more into it later.

I'm getting good and ready to kick some ass. I can't get my damn links page to open correctly. It keeps only loading less than a quarter of the page, and then it stops. I don't know what the hell is wrong with the damn thing, but it just keeps on doing it. Piece of shit Crosswinds. And now they're trying to get people to PAY for their service?! Anyone who would send them the money is a moron. Sure, I'd send them a little money and support them if I had better service so it was worth my money, but it's not. Grrr.... I don't feel like doing anything today. My mom called at about 1:20, and that was good enough to get me to get my lazy ass out of bed. In continuing his streak of playing who-knows-what for a variety, my neighbor upstairs was listening to Abba today. Don't get me wrong - I like Abba - I'm just saying that I'm still trying to figure out his musical interests. I have to leave for work soon, and I still need to eat and get dressed before I leave. Man, I'm lazy. I also decided to re-take TheSpark.com's Bitch Test, and I was pleasantly surprised to come up 73% bitch. I knew that initial reading of only 48% had to incorrect.

Very early on a cold, cold Saturday morning, and here I sit at my computer, yet to have gone to bed. After my last entry, I spent three hours working on finally writing my autobiography. For any of you who care, I can tell you that it's going to be quite comprehensive. Let me just say that in three hours, I barely got through seven years of my life - about one-third. I rushed off to the bus stop and rode the bus to St. Paul to assist in load-in at the show in the ballroom. Shortly after the bands were all in, I left once again to head on over to Bijou. Tonight we showed South Pacific and had a whopping 5 customers - and not all of them paid. Annemarie and I were inspired by the film to get to work on writing a new Bijou movie. We went on over, as usual, to the Dinkytowner and stayed there until 2:45. It seemed that nobody else would come, but then Molly showed up. I think that must have been sometime after 1:15. She didn't stay long, as she was rather tired. As I got to the corner, I thought I saw taillights of the bus down the street and got a little worried. Got even more worried when the bus showed up late. At that time of night, there is usually nobody on the bus when I get on, so the bus is usually right on time. Luckily I was mistaken and the bus was just running a few minutes late. I've been back here ever since about 3:30 (or a little earlier). I know I should go to bed soon because Mom will be calling later and I have to leave for work by 3, but I'm really not tired yet. I was quite happy to find out that the film society is going to be screening Dancer in the Dark starting next Friday and running through the following Thursday (December 15-21). Well, that's all for now. Maybe I should check my email.

Another Friday here in the lounge. I love using these days to do absolutely nothing, but I have a feeling that that will not be possible today. The semester is almost over, and that means that there is much to be done. Only 3 days of classes left and plenty of papers to write. If you add up the 3+ page German lit paper, the 3 page English lit paper, the 12-15 page CSCL paper, and the 10+ page German cinema paper, that means I have to write a minimum of 28 pages, but we all know it'll be more than that. I also have to finish my EngL Journal, and that could be a pain in the ass. That's something that is completely my fault, because I could have been working on that the entire semester, but I chose instead to slack off. That's going to be another good 20 pages or so atleast. Yuck. I also can't forget about my astronomy final a week from Monday and that I need to start reviewing my Russian so that I'm not way behind when next semester starts. I've been sitting in on the Russian night class on Monday nights, but that can only help so much - the rest is up to me. Maybe I'll only slack half the day today. I also said I'd try to help with load in at the show at the student center tonight. That's before the Bijou movie also. Tonight we have South Pacific, which got written up in City Pages again. That's good free publicity for us! Time for me slack.

Just came from my Chaplin/Hitchcock/Wilder class, where we watched our last film of the semester - The Birds. I'm feeling pretty tired because I was essentially up all night. I got home from work at the film society last night and I just started dozing off. I kind of slipped in and out of consciousness until sometime around 2. At that point I watched Taxi before starting my papers. I then worked on my papers for the class I just came from. I finished them at 11 this morning, at which time I got dressed and caught the bus to campus. Now that it's 3 in the afternoon, I have to waste away a few pointless hours before class and time to go home. I have a feeling that I won't be up really late tonight since I hardly slept last night. I'm not even sure what is keeping me awake. In all the time I was up last night, I drank one can of Cherry Coke and I had another 20oz of Coke during class. I'm soooo dead.

I almost overslept this morning, but I woke up at the last minute, got my ass in gear, and got to class just as it was beginning. Bijou meeting went okay this afternoon for once. I figured I'd get lectured for missing another meeting yesterday, but I don't give a damn. I have classes and homework to worry about and they come first. They want me to email everytime? Blah blah blah. I decided to skip my class tonight. Just wasn't in the mood to go. I'm just not in the mood for much of anything school related anymore. I just want this darn semester to be over. Today (Tuesday) was Corey's birthday. Not only that, but he emailed me! I hadn't heard from that bastard since last summer and he finally emailed me in reply to the email I had sent out about trivia. At any rate, it was nice to hear from him again. Wednesday (that being today now I guess) I have to go to German and then off to work. I can't wait for my work study crap to go through so I can actually get paid. Think about all the time I've put in there and haven't even been paid yet! It's not thieir fault, and it's not like I mind doing it, but it'll nice when I have everything cleared up with the morons in financial aid so that I can get some more money. Money is nice. Well, I should take care of the crap I need to go and go to bed.

I should be working on homework, but I'm in too good of a mood for once to want to waste my time with homework. Tonight I had my last ever science class! Woohoo! I still have to take the final in 2 weeks, but I can live with that. I also sat through the Russian course again tonight, and it's starting to come back to me again. I called my mom, and she's going to get the money transfered over to me account tomorrow so I can actually pay my bills. She says that she already gave me a check, but I don't remember that. Hmmm... well, I spent my day listening to Radio K and working on my last astronomy essay. It took me 3 tries, but I finally got through during TheDanOne's shift and got on the guest list for the Man or Astroman? show on Sunday. I'm too cheap to pay for tickets, although MoA? deserves my money. Thing is, I don't support First Avenue at all - money-grubbing bastards. In fact, I think the last time I was at First Avenue was to see Man or Astroman? on my birthday a year and a half ago. Atleast it was to see a band worth spending my money on. In another 4+ months I'll be 21 and I won't have to worry about not being able to get into shows anymore, but I still won't support them any more than I do now. Grrr.... Maybe I SHOULD do homework. I mean, we're in the thirteenth week, so I guess that puts me twelve weeks behind in my Chaplin/Hitchcock/Wilder class. Oops.

So, I just took the new Love/Match Test on TheSpark.com and in a way I was really surprised and not surprised at all at the same time. It described me as being a lone ranger. That was the part that didn't surprise me at all. The part that really surprised me was that it broke down the questions and I came up as 18/18 for testosterone. I guess I never really thought of myself as packed full of testosterone. Silly and stupid - yeah, that's me. Testosterone? That's what it said. Weird....

I had to deal with a lot of idiots this weekend. The worst were the idiots I had to deal with at the Bell on Saturday night. I showed up at 4:15 and these dumb bird people were finishing up their all day presentation. It took forever for the morons to clear out. I ended up practically having to move their stuff out myself to get them out. Then, as they were moving out, these stupid fucking kids and their parents started filling up the auditorium for a presentation on butterflies. I tried to tell them that they were in the wrong room, but they wouldn't believe me. I went up to the guy at the desk in the Bell and asked him where the dipshits were supposed to be, and then I went back in and directed them where to go. It was after 5 before I finally got to open up the box office for a 5:15 movie - I hate morons and imbeciles. i have to deal with way too many of them when working for Bijou also. Where do they all come from? Don't realize how fucking stupid they are? And doesn't the moron above me realize he listens to shitty music, which if I really wanted to listen to, I'd come up and visit him. Idiots everywhere. So what good has happened? Well, we watched The Bridge on the River Kwai on Friday night and then Molly (here's the first time I mention your name), Annemarie, Lindsey, and I went to the Dinkytowner. When we came out, Molly's car had been towed and the last 6 to Como-Eustis has passed by already, so she came with me and crashed on the futon. After all the shit at the film society on Saturday night, I headed back over to the WBA and watched Dr. Zhivago. Molly went home, but Annemarie and I went to the Dinkytowner again. I got home early, early this morning and what should be on tv but The Towering Inferno on UPN? Woohoo!! They ended it at 5, with the "exciting conclusion" to come tonight. Mustn't be long before figure skating will be over. When I turned the tv off this afternoon, figure skating was on not 1, but 2 channels (Fox and ABC)!!! WTF?! Anyway, new Simpson's in an hour and a half and I have stuff to attend to before then.

Yes, I'm well aware of the fact that it's been nearly 2 weeks since the last time I made an entry - so sue me. During that time, of course, was Thanksgiving. I returned home to the thriving metropolis of Appleton and spent 5 days stuff, drunk, and bloated. Got a chance to bowl once again at Sabre and I sucked the first 2 games, but hit a 187 the third game. Back here at school, life has been rather boring. We're well past the 10 week mark, which means I (along with many of my pre-semester mates) have hit the wall of functionality. After 10 weeks, new info from classes no longer computes and information already learned is switched into a file unusable until after winter break. It's that point where no one wants to do homework and papers are absolutely pitiful. We started booking the Bijou movies for next semester and so far it seems we've been able to get them all except for The Graduate. I really want to track it down because I think it'd be a great film to open our semester with, but that will involve making lots of long distance phone calls to track down a distributor. Then last night I received the shocking news that trivia 2001 has been moved a weekend - what the fuck?! Trivia will be January 19-21, which is the first weekend of our semester and the weekend we wanted to show The Graduate and Dog Day Afternoon. Could still try to get those dates changed. Not familiar with Lawrence's schedule, so I don't know why they suddenly decided to move it up a weekend, but I'll have to make due. Well, I know that was pretty brief since it's been 2 weeks, but I figured you don't need all of the sordid details of me being an elevator operator for Tootsie Rolls or me digesting a huge bag of cheese popcorn in a half hour.
