My parents have been out shopping all afternoon, and my brother showered and played video games, but I spent all afternoon researching prospective graduate schools online. I still haven't made an all-inclusive list of choices, but I'm getting there. I also haven't done much indepth research. In fact, it has mostly consisted of: 1) Do they even have a film studies grad program?, 2) Do they also have a German grad program?, 3) The faculty - have I ever heard of any of them or read any of their books?, and 4) Do I stand even the remotest chance in hell of getting accepted (instantly eliminating Harvard from any and all consideration no matter whether they offer the correct programs or not). I haven't really thought about the financial situation associated with any of the schools as, unlike my undergrad years, I think the value of the education, no matter how much or how little it costs, will pay for itself eventually. What a fun afternoon, eh?
