I'll buy that, even though we have yet to see who else will be leaving the Twins this offseason. It'll probably be a tighter race this year with the White Sox, but in general the AL Central is about as strong a division as the NFC North, so it looks good. Let's just hope the playoff run includes winning the ALCS.
I don't think the Twins bleeding will consist of much overall. Ortiz isn't much of a loss. I'll be disappointed if Mientkiewicz goes, but it won't be the end of the world. As for the NFC North, I'd like to point out the NFC West as pretty weak. Arizona is downright horrible, Seattle showed a little offensive prowess late in the season, but completely lacks a defense, and who knows the definite direction of St. Louis if they keep their stars healthy and paid the kind of money they demand.
