My Day with Marty ::
I rushed out this afternoon and watched the matinee screening of Gangs of New York. I just had to. I'm glad I did, for it's the best film I've seen so far this year. Of course, that's not saying much, for I really haven't seen much this year. At any rate, I have to say that it has to be an early frontrunner for Best Picture. Not only is it a good movie, but I has that epic quality which the Academy loves.
To complete my experience, I see that TCM is showing Personal Journey with Martin Scorsese Through American Movies tonight followed by The Last Waltz. Having already watched 3 hours of movie this afternoon, I don't know that I want to sit through 6 more hours tonight, but I can guarantee you that the vcr will be rolling.
