What? Do I Need an AARP Card for Service? ::

I went to George Webb today for lunch and got the worst service I've ever gotten there. I walked in about 11, sat down in a booth in the non-smoking section, and was pretty much forgotten about. The waitress did come around and take my order, but then she pretty much left me alone. She never brought me my soda. My food sat under the heat lamp until Candace (who was cooking) finally brought it out to me herself. She never came around to inquire how the food was or if I needed anything else. Instead she kept ignoring me and going over to get things for all of the elderly customers in the place. I almost felt age discriminated. If it weren't for the fact that I've been in there so many times before and gotten such better service each of those times I'd be tempted to not want to go back. Is that how they treat all the young people who go there to eat? I mean, I'm not even that young anymore! The waitress did finally come back to bring me my bill (go figure). Of course, she had charged me for the soda, so I had to bitch her out about that. She tried to tell me it got squirrelly, but I was right there and I saw exactly what she was doing. Needless to say, I wasn't happy.

Yeah... I've found Webbs can be like that. Once, a couple years back we watched 2 10-ish yr old kids come in to Webbs, sit down at a booth and be flat out ignored for close to an hour. No acknowledgement whatsoever. They finally got the message and left. The waitress' excuse later was that she didn't see them. Like right, you just don't notice 2 kids in the booth across from the register.
