Turned Down ::

I was sitting in the basement watching Marty this morning (hey, if it's good enough for Herb Stempel then it's good enough for me) when the girl from the staffing agency called. She said she had a potential job for me and wanted to know if I was interested. After telling me all about it, I did the thing I thought I'd never do: I turned it down. Now let me tell you about the job and you'll see why. The job was working for H & R Block during tax season. The job wouldn't have actually begun until January 15 and then would have ended on April 15. In the time leading up to January 15 I'd have had to take their tax course. 2 days a night and 3 hours a night I would have had to attend a tax course which I wouldn't have been paid to attend. Afterwards I'd have had a fulltime job for 3 months at $8 an hour. I'd be quite surprised if they actually found any suckers to take it. So, the search for employment drags on.
